CommuniSpace

Hey Guys, i have just been reading around the topic of Online communities, and there seems to be a new use for businesses to benefit through the use of online communities. There has been a rise in Businesses using Private Online Communities to Engage Customers.

One of the examples is Kraft, which used the Online Communities when it was brainstorming about new kinds of dieting and healthy products. Through discussions, surveys, and questions, Kraft learned that customers didn’t feel they needed to deprive themselves or diet — what they really wanted was the ability to control how much they ate. Kraft obliged with 100 Calorie Packs, a line of small, one-person bags of Oreos and Ritz crackers. The results were stunning: Last year that product line racked up $100 million in sales.

One of the Organisations that i found that speciliase in providing businesses with this powerful tool was CommuniSpace.

There is also a two minute introduction video which i found very educating (See Link Below). And so to conclude, this isn't merly a social community, but utilises social communities to benefit businesses.

I saw this one and I liked it aswell because it was only aimed at business which is different to other social networking sites. By using this site business were able to gain a better perspective of their business because they get direct feedback from their customers. I also recognised that some of their clients included well known brands like Hp, Coca-Cola, FedEx,Heinz and many more.

one thing I didn't notice is the cost to join the site, I don't know whether it was free or you had to pay. Did you happen to find this out?

No, there are no advertised pricing. Because they provide custom services that is actually tailored to each individual business. So companies contact them for a consultation, then its taken from there really.

I think its a great service, and the added benefits make it that added extra for any business.

From what I have read so far, this website seems to target only the big businesses and organisations that have the personnel and resources to analyse feedbacks they receive from customers.

I don't think small businesses will benefit from it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
