Hey peeps, i found this social network that concentrates on protection peoples' privacy on the internet.
The user has 100% control of what information he/she shares publicly. What makes this website unique from other private socail networks is that you can choose specific contacts that you want to release your information to. For example if you'd like Mr X to know your age, location e.t.c but not Mr Y; you can change the setting so that only Mr X can view those information about you.
Furthermore, your profile cannot be searched on any search engine or duplicated. Oh and it's absolutely FREE!!!

I cannot say I have heard of this social network, it seems to be a good private social network and offer all the benefits of a social network.
Seems to be a social network focused around dating, is this correct?

Interesting Post Haz. (Very Controversial - I must add) I came across this but I too like Theo saw this as a 'Glorified' Dating site!
But never-the-less I do see how it can also be classified as a Private Social Network, it works by providing each member a Code, they then share this code to only those they would like. They don't have to provide their name, or any personal details. That person then signs onto this site and is granted a view of the information specified by the initial user.
I'm going to disagree with both of you, would you call facebook a dating website just for the fact that you can make friends on there and go on to date them in future?
This website is no different from any other social network website (except its severe measures towards privacy on the internet).
No I would not class Facebook as a 'Dating Site' because its focus is on friends and allowing you to reconnect and stay connected.
The reason I called Winked@ a dating site is its focus on securely allowing you to 'meet' new people with the aim of forming a relationship in the future.
There are a lot of difference between Winked@ and other online communities. One key difference is that winked@ provides you with another method of meeting new friends outside the site! where as other 'online' communities are solely online.
i can see were derick and theo are coming from. The title in it self is self explanatory "winked @".its like its inviting new to meet a guy/girl. However @ derick even on facebook some people do join to meet new people and meet outside facebook but the only difference is on winked you have to receive a code in order to speak to the person you met were as on facebook you can type in the person's name or pick a random person or you have mutual friends you think you like and talk to them.
I have to sadly concede that the website is targeted at people that are looking to date. However it has to be the most private online dating community i have ever come across. Not that i'm a serial dater or anything!!! :-D
