hi guys, I found this private social network called multiply. its like facebook with extra features. You can sell and also buy products. It also has the functions like facebook as in you can add pictures, talk to people online, add videos and even blog post. The good thing about is that its free. I find this one interesting because you can sell and buy staff. Ive never seen a social networking site that sells staff.most of them only advertiseReference

This is an interesting social network, for the buying and selling aspect, it is almost like Ebay meets Facebook.
OK my honest opinion is I cant see the pros of this online community. It allows its users to shop together so to say. But I'm having problems seeing what this can offer to the already very crowded industry.
However with that being said, there might be a small niece that this site may cater to, especially those who feel the need to get advice from friends and family before they make a purchase.
Can anybody tell me if there is a real need for this site? with the giants of Facebook and eBay dominating their markets?
D
I'm not a facebook expert but I thought facebook already had an e-market place? Anyway I still personally think there is a place for this website in e-commerce. Imagine shopping and talking to your friends at the same time to get their opinion on the items you're shopping for; all on-line. If they can pull it off properly then I reckon they will become big very soon.
However if this website goes on to establish themselves as a leading e-market place/a social network then the less 'Private' it will become in the sense that people will know each other's address in order to post sold items, contact numbers will be required for communication between buyers and sellers, and so on.
they wont necessarily know each others details. i think the company designed in a way that your information is still kept private hence why it is still running.i think in a way it is good because sometimes you need an opinion of what you are buying, you can easily ask a friend to navigate to the page without you having to send the link. But again it is technology the system can crush and your information can be leaked.
